ENGWE is an e-bike label from Shenzhen Engwe Intelligent Technology, which says it was founded in 2014 in China. The EU store at engwe.com carries folding fat-tire bikes (EP-2, Engine Pro), commuter models (O20 Boost, E26 3.0 Pro), moped-style bikes and a small set of Y-series scooters. Separate ENGWE stores handle the UK and the US.
ENGWE says each e-bike sold in the EU is TÜV-certified to EN15194, with a 250 W motor, no throttle and pedal support ending at 25 km/h. That keeps them in the bicycle category under EU law, with no licence, insurance or registration needed. As of 29 September 2026, the Y700 ABE scooter was €599, the EP-2 3.0 Boost €1,299, the Engine Pro 3.0 Boost €1,699 and the E26 3.0 Pro €1,899, though ENGWE says prices can vary by country. ENGWE sends e-bikes and scooters by DPD at no charge from its French and Polish warehouses to 25 EU countries, among them Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Greece. Stated times as of September 2026:
Orders are handled within two business days of confirmation and dispatched on day three, with an emailed tracking link. Changing the address after dispatch is not free, so check it before paying.
As of September 2026, a return must be requested within 30 days of delivery, and ENGWE wants an email to service@engwe.com before anything is sent so it can issue a label. The bike must be unused, complete, in its original packaging and show less than 10 km. Faulty, transit-damaged or wrong items get a replacement or a full refund. Change-of-mind returns lose €200 per e-bike or €100 per battery. A 5% processing fee applies to orders cancelled before dispatch, and accessories bought in an online sale are final.
Cover varies by part: motor, battery, frame, fork, display, controller and wiring get 12 months; hubs, gears, pedals, racks and lights get 6 months; plastics, rotors and brake pads get 3 months; tyres get 1 month. ENGWE ships replacement parts free inside those periods but excludes crash damage and self-modification. An extended warranty can only be added in the same order as the bike, and ENGWE's extended warranty page lists the EP-2 3.0 Boost with a free second year.
