ENGWE US Review 2026: Is us.engwe.com Worth It?

Short verdict: ENGWE US (us.engwe.com) is a California-run store that sells ENGWE's stronger US-market e-bikes, from the folding EP-2 3.0 to the 2000 W E26 3.0, plus a few mobility scooters. Shipping is free and fast for a bike, but the 30-day return window comes with a $300 fee if you simply change your mind. We rate it 3.7 out of 5.

We have not ordered from ENGWE US ourselves, so everything below comes from the store's own pages and from customer reviews left on ENGWE's wider Trustpilot profile, not from a delivery we made.

What is ENGWE US?

ENGWE US is the American storefront of ENGWE, a bike brand that also runs separate stores for Europe. The US catalogue is built around US rules, so the motors are stronger than the European versions: 750 W up to the 2000 W dual-motor E26 3.0, plus the moped-style M20 3.0, the off-road Eagle, the step-through L16 and L20 3.0, the folding EP-2 3.0, and the Ease 1, Ease 2 Pro and Ease 3 mobility scooters. Prices are in US dollars. Orders ship from a warehouse in City of Industry, California, to the 48 contiguous states only.

Accessories are also sold on their own, including batteries (E26 battery $359, M20 3.0 battery $459), a fast charger ($99 or $119) and racks and baskets from $69 to $99. A one-year extended warranty add-on is priced from $49.90 to $299 depending on the bike.

Power, range and build

The US catalogue is noticeably more powerful than ENGWE's European stores, which sell 250 W, 25 km/h versions of similar-looking bikes under different model names. The E26 3.0 and M20 3.0 in particular are aimed at riders who want speed and torque rather than a gentle commuter bike. ENGWE's own product pages state the power and range figures; we have not measured any of these ourselves, so treat the manufacturer's numbers as claims rather than independently checked facts.

Payment options

Checkout accepts cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus Klarna and Afterpay for buyers who want to split the price into instalments. This matters for a store where several bikes cost over $1,000, since it gives shoppers a way to spread the cost without a store credit card.

Shipping

Shipping is free on qualifying orders and ships by FedEx or UPS from the California warehouse. Processing takes 1 to 2 business days, and delivery takes 3 to 7 business days after that. A tracking link is emailed once the order ships, and the store says tracking can be followed on 17track from about two days after dispatch. Delivery is limited to the 48 contiguous states: Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are not served, accessories cannot be shipped to Canada, and the UK is not served by this store. Pre-order bikes carry their own shipping date on the product page, and once a parcel has shipped its address cannot be changed.

Returns and refunds

ENGWE US gives 30 days from delivery to request a return, but a customer must email service@engwe-bikes.com first; a parcel sent back without approval is refused on arrival. To qualify, the bike must be unused, showing under 10 km on the display, complete with its box, charger, keys and hardware, and with proof of purchase. This is where the policy gets expensive for a simple change of mind: ENGWE deducts $300 per bike from the refund. Cancelling an order before it ships costs 5% of the order value, and cancelling or refusing a parcel after it has shipped also costs $300. If a bike arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, ENGWE offers an exchange or refund within 30 days, though the policy still keeps a $100 shipping charge on faulty returns. After 30 days, problems are handled under the warranty instead, and ENGWE says it may reimburse a local repair shop for parts against a printed invoice, up to twice the part's price. Returns go to the City of Industry, California warehouse, and only bikes and scooters bought directly on us.engwe.com are accepted; sale accessories, custom orders and free gifts are excluded from returns.

The warranty itself runs 12 months on the frame, fork, motor, battery, controller, display and wiring; 6 months on lights, kickstand, fenders, racks, pedals, chain, derailleur and hubs; 3 months on the saddle, plastics, brake rotors, pads and cables; and 1 month on tires. Crash damage and any modifications are excluded from all of these.
