ENGWE SE Review 2026: Is the Swedish ENGWE Store Worth It?

Short verdict: ENGWE SE is the Swedish version of ENGWE's e-bike and scooter store, with prices in kronor, Klarna at checkout and free delivery inside Sweden. The bikes are priced well below their own list prices and the range covers city, folding and fat-tyre models, but the return policy charges a fee if you simply change your mind, and the Swedish store itself has no independent review score yet. We rate it 4 out of 5.

How we wrote this review: we used ENGWE SE's published product prices, shipping policy, return and refund policy, and warranty pages, checked on 29 September 2026, together with an earlier store check from 14 September 2026 where noted. We have not ordered from ENGWE SE ourselves, so we cannot describe unboxing, ride quality or how a real repair claim is handled. Where we quote a customer score, we say which store it comes from.

What is ENGWE SE?

ENGWE SE (se.engwe.com) is the Swedish-language store from ENGWE, a bike brand that sells electric bikes and electric scooters across Europe. The Swedish store carries the same lineup as ENGWE's main euro store but shows prices in Swedish kronor and ships from ENGWE's warehouses in France and Poland. The site lists 95 products in total, mostly e-bikes and scooters plus batteries, chargers, racks, locks and other accessories.

The lineup runs from folding city e-bikes to full-suspension trail bikes, a carbon-frame model and a fat-tyre bike. Support is reached at service.se@engwe.com, Monday to Friday, 9 to 18.

Prices below are the store's own one-time prices in SEK, taken from the live shop on 29 September 2026. Several models show a lower current price next to a higher "list" price on the product page.

The gap between the list price and the shown price is large on several models, which is normal for this kind of direct-to-consumer bike store. Batteries and chargers are sold separately for most models, from around 3,200 kr to 4,300 kr for a spare battery.

Motors, range and warranty

The bikes use 250W motors as standard, with torque or cadence sensors on most models and a higher-power scooter line separately. Ranges and battery sizes vary by model, so check the specific product page rather than assuming one figure applies across the range.

ENGWE's warranty is split by part: 12 months on the frame, fork, motor, battery, controller, display and wiring; 6 months on lights, kickstand, fenders, racks, pedals, chain, derailleur and hubs; 3 months on the saddle, plastics, brake rotors, pads and cables; and 1 month on tyres. The EP-2 Boost includes a free second year of coverage, taking it to 24 months, and ENGWE sells an optional extension on other models that must be bought with the bike. After the warranty period, the customer pays for parts and shipping on any repair.

Payment at checkout

ENGWE SE accepts cards, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Swish was not shown as a payment option in our checks. Prices are shown directly in kronor, so there is no separate currency conversion step for Swedish shoppers.

Shipping

E-bikes and scooters ship free by DPD from ENGWE's warehouses in France and Poland and are expected to reach Sweden in 7 to 10 business days. A faster FedEx option costs €50, about 560 kr. Accessories ship free by DPD or DHL from the EU in 7 to 10 business days, or by CNE from China in 7 to 15 days. ENGWE says it starts processing an order within 2 business days of the confirmation email and dispatches it on the third business day, with tracking sent by email once the parcel is on its way. Once a parcel has shipped, it cannot be stopped or redirected free of charge.

Returns and refunds

ENGWE gives 30 days from delivery to request a return, but you must email service.se@engwe.com first; a parcel sent back without approval is refused. To qualify, the bike needs to be unused, with fewer than 10 km on the display, complete in its original box with the charger, keys and hardware, and you need the receipt.

If you are returning a bike simply because you changed your mind, ENGWE deducts a shipping and handling fee of €200 per e-bike (about 2,240 kr) and €100 per battery, and you also pay the return shipping to the returns address in Poland. Sale accessories, custom orders and free gifts cannot be returned at all. Cancelling before dispatch, which happens on the third business day after ordering, is free. If a bike arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, ENGWE says it will replace or refund it in full instead of charging this fee. Refunds are processed within 3 business days of inspection and then take 3 to 10 business days to arrive. In practice, a straightforward "I don't want it" return on an e-bike priced around 15,000 kr means a roughly 2,240 kr fee plus return shipping, a meaningful chunk of the price.

What customers say

se.engwe.com does not have its own Trustpilot profile. ENGWE's main EU store scored 4.5 out of 5 from 632 reviews, when we checked on 14 September 2026. Praise focused on customer support, while complaints mentioned rims damaged in transit and slow repairs. The Swedish store uses the same warehouses, couriers and support system, so a similar pattern is a reasonable expectation, though it is not a Swedish-specific score.

Who should buy ENGWE SE?

ENGWE SE is a reasonable choice for a Swedish shopper who already knows which ENGWE model they want and is comfortable buying a bike online, unboxing it and doing basic assembly. It suits buyers who want to pay in kronor, use Klarna, and are prepared to inspect the bike carefully on delivery day so any transport damage can be reported quickly.

It is a less good choice for someone who wants to test-ride a bike before committing, since there is no local shop to visit. It is also not the right choice for someone who might want to send the bike back for a full refund just because it does not suit them, given the fee attached to that kind of return.

Tips before you order

• Check the exact model page for the motor power, battery range and weight, since these vary between models with similar names.
• Unbox and inspect the bike on the day it arrives, and note the odometer reading, since a return needs the bike to show fewer than 10 km on the display.
• Keep the original box, charger, keys and hardware in case you need to return the bike.
• Keep your receipt and email service.se@engwe.com before sending anything back; unapproved returns are refused.
• If you need the bike by a certain date, budget for the 7 to 10 business day delivery window, or pay for FedEx express if the date is tight.
