ENGWE NL Review 2026: Is the Dutch ENGWE Store Worth It?

Short verdict: ENGWE NL is the Dutch-language version of ENGWE's e-bike and scooter store, with the same bikes as the main euro store but a Dutch checkout, Klarna and local support email. The city bike P275 SE is priced lower here than on ENGWE's other stores, but a change-of-mind return on any e-bike costs €200 and the parcel goes back to Poland. We rate it 3.7 out of 5.

How we wrote this review: we used ENGWE NL's own product listing, shipping page and returns page, checked on 29 September 2026, together with an earlier check of the site from 14 September 2026 for facts that had not changed. We have not ordered from ENGWE NL ourselves, so we cannot describe how a bike arrives or how a return plays out in practice. Where a fact comes only from the earlier check, we say so.

What is ENGWE NL?

ENGWE NL, at nl.engwe.com, is ENGWE's online store for the Netherlands. ENGWE makes electric bikes, folding e-bikes, fat bikes and electric scooters, and sells them directly through country-specific web stores rather than through shops. The Dutch store carries the same range as ENGWE's main euro store: the P275 SE city bike, the folding O20 Boost, the carbon N1 Air and N1 Pro, the E26 3.0 Pro fat bike, the Zip and Engine Pro lines, and the Y-series scooters. The site, checkout and policy pages are in Dutch, and support runs through a Dutch email address, service.nl@engwe.com.

The N1 Air and N1 Pro carbon e-bikes were priced at €1,299 and €1,599 against list prices of €1,899 and €2,899 when we checked on 14 September 2026; we did not re-confirm these two on 29 September 2026. Aside from the P275 SE and its combo, ENGWE NL's prices match ENGWE's main euro store.

What you get for the price

ENGWE's bikes are built around a mid-drive or hub motor rated at 250W, the legal limit for e-bikes sold in the EU, with torque sensors on several models and full or front suspension on others. The E26 3.0 Pro and some folding models add a boost button for extra power. The N1 series uses a carbon frame to cut weight, which ENGWE lists near 15.6 kg. Free extras were listed with some models at the time of our check: a rear rack and fenders with any e-bike, a 35-litre bag with the E26 3.0 Pro, and a free second year of warranty with the L20 3.0 Boost and L20 3.0 Pro. These extras can change without notice, so check the product page before ordering.

Warranty and support

ENGWE's warranty, as listed on the site, covers the frame, fork, motor, battery, controller, display and wiring for 12 months; lights, kickstand, fenders, racks, pedals, chain, derailleur and hubs for 6 months; saddle, plastics, brake rotors, pads and cables for 3 months; and tyres for 1 month. Warranty claims go to service.nl@engwe.com with a photo or video. ENGWE also lists partner repair workshops on a map, but the site says you need approval before using one, so a repair done without asking first may not be covered.

Shipping

E-bikes and scooters ship free by DPD from ENGWE's warehouses in France and Poland and reach Dutch addresses in 7 to 10 business days; FedEx express costs €50. Accessories ship free from the EU in 7 to 10 business days, or from China in 7 to 15 days. Orders are processed within 2 business days of the confirmation email and the parcel is handed to the courier on the third day, with tracking sent by email once it ships. Once a parcel has shipped it cannot be stopped or redirected for free, and the courier may only attempt delivery once before leaving the parcel at a pick-up point.

Returns and refunds

ENGWE NL gives 30 days from delivery to request a return, but you must email service.nl@engwe.com first; a parcel sent back without approval is refused. To qualify, the bike must be unused, showing under 10 km on the display, clean, and complete in its original box with the charger, keys and hardware. If there is nothing wrong with the bike, ENGWE deducts €200 per e-bike for restocking and shipping, and you pay to send it back to the warehouse in Wrocław, Poland. Cancelling an order before it ships costs 5%; cancelling or refusing it after it has shipped costs €200. A faulty item can be exchanged or refunded within 30 days, though the policy still keeps a €100 shipping charge; after 30 days, faults are handled under the warranty instead. Refunds are processed within 3 business days of inspection and take 3 to 10 business days to reach your account. EU shoppers also keep the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal alongside these terms.

What customers say

nl.engwe.com does not have its own Trustpilot profile. ENGWE's EU store, which the Dutch store's site says shares the same warehouses and support system, scored 4.5 out of 5 from 632 reviews when we checked on 14 September 2026. Reviewers praised the support team, and complaints mentioned rims damaged in transit and slow repairs. Because this score is for a related store rather than nl.engwe.com itself, treat it as an indication rather than a direct rating of the Dutch store.

Who should buy from ENGWE NL?

ENGWE NL is a reasonable choice for shoppers in the Netherlands who want a Dutch-language buying experience, Klarna instalments, and the lower price currently listed on the P275 SE. It also suits anyone who has already decided on an ENGWE model and wants local support in Dutch. It is a less good choice for anyone who is not sure they will keep the bike, given the €200 fee for a change-of-mind return, or for anyone who needs the item within a few days, since delivery runs 7 to 10 business days rather than express.

Tips before you order

• Measure the bike's dimensions and your storage space before ordering; a returned e-bike still costs €200 if nothing is wrong with it.
• Unbox and inspect the bike on the day it arrives, and report any transport damage straight away, since damage claims fall under the 30-day window rather than the standard return terms.
• Keep the original box, charger, keys and hardware in case you need to return or claim warranty on the bike later.
• Email service.nl@engwe.com before sending anything back; parcels returned without approval are refused.
• Check the live product page for the exact price and any listed extras, since these can change from what is shown at checkout.
