ENGWE EU Review 2026: Is ENGWE's European Store Worth It?

Short verdict: ENGWE EU is the European storefront for ENGWE's e-bikes and scooters, with local-language sites, a European phone line and free delivery to 24 EU countries. Prices sit well below the listed compare-at prices on most models, but a non-fault return costs €200 per bike and remote areas are not served. We rate it 4 out of 5.

We have not ordered from ENGWE EU ourselves, so we cannot describe the unboxing or ride quality first-hand; where we quote a rating or a policy we say where it comes from.

What is ENGWE EU?

ENGWE EU (engwe-bikes-eu.com) is the European version of ENGWE's e-bike and e-scooter store. It sells the same catalogue and the same euro prices as ENGWE's main site, but adds local-language storefronts in Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Polish, French and German, a European phone line, and its own customer service email, service@engwe-bikes.com. The store ships from an EU warehouse to 24 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Nordic countries. Shoppers in the UK are served by ENGWE's separate UK store, not this one.

The range covers city and commuter e-bikes, folding e-bikes, cargo and step-thru models, fat-tyre off-road bikes, and a line of Y-series e-scooters.

Build, motors and sizing

ENGWE describes its e-bikes by motor power, torque and suspension type rather than by frame size charts. Product titles on the site state figures such as 250W motor, torque values from about 75 Nm to 100 Nm, and claimed ranges from roughly 55 km to 140 km depending on the model; these are the brand's own figures on the product pages, not independent test results. Some models, such as the P275 SE, use a torque sensor that adjusts assistance to pedalling effort, while folding models like the EP-2 and O20 Boost fold down for storage or transport. The EP-2 3.0 Boost is the only model in the range that carries an extra year of complimentary warranty, described below.

Warranty and extended cover

ENGWE EU's standard warranty runs 12 months on the frame, fork, motor, battery (while capacity stays above 60%), controller, display and wiring. Kickstand, fenders, chain and derailleur are covered for 6 months, and tyres, saddle, brake pads and plastics for 1 to 3 months. The EP-2 3.0 Boost carries a longer 24-month warranty on frame, motor, battery and electronics. Warranty claims only apply to parts that fail from normal use; damage from a crash, misuse or self-modification is excluded. An extended warranty can also be added on the product page when buying a bike or scooter; it cannot be bought separately afterwards.

Shipping

ENGWE EU ships e-bikes and scooters free of charge from its EU warehouse to 24 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, Portugal and the Nordic and central European countries. Orders that are in stock take 1 to 2 business days to process, and delivery then takes 7 to 10 business days. A tracking number appears on 17track.net roughly two days after ordering. Remote areas and islands are excluded from delivery, so it is worth checking a postcode at checkout before ordering. Some accessories ship separately, from outside the EU.

Returns and refunds

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. To start one, a customer emails service@engwe-bikes.com to request a return label. The bike must be unused, show under 10 km on the display, and be complete with all original parts and packaging. If the return is not due to a fault, ENGWE deducts €200 per e-bike or €100 per battery from the refund to cover its handling cost; a return caused by a genuine defect is exchanged or refunded without this deduction. Cancelling an order before it is dispatched costs 5% of the order; cancelling after dispatch costs €200. Once a returned bike reaches the warehouse, ENGWE confirms the return within 5 business days and issues the refund within a further 1 to 2 business days.

ENGWE EU's Trustpilot profile showed a 4.5 out of 5 score from 632 reviews when we checked on 12 September 2026; Trustpilot itself could not be reached on the day of this review. According to that earlier check, common praise mentioned value for money, ride comfort and fast replies from customer support. The main complaints described bikes that arrived with a damaged rim or a misaligned derailleur, paired with a slow repair process. Anyone taking delivery of a bike should inspect it as soon as it arrives and report any damage the same day, with photos, since the return window and the fault process both depend on prompt reporting.

It suits buyers who are comfortable inspecting a delivery immediately and reporting any damage the same day. It is not a good choice for anyone living on an island or in a remote area outside the delivery zone, or for anyone who wants a no-cost return if they simply change their mind, since a non-fault return carries a €200 (or €100 for a battery) deduction.

Tips before you order

• Check that a postcode is inside the 24-country delivery zone before paying, since islands and remote areas are excluded.
• Compare the compare-at price against the current listed price on the product page, since sale pricing changes.
• Photograph the box and the bike the moment it arrives, before assembly, in case a return or a warranty claim is needed later.
• Keep the original box and all accessories for at least 30 days in case a return is needed.
• If an extended warranty is wanted, add it at the time of purchase; ENGWE says it cannot be bought later on its own.
