Short verdict: Aiper is a well-known maker of cordless robotic pool cleaners, and its US store sells them at prices well below the list prices it shows. Warranty terms are clear and go up to three years. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is paid by you, even though many pages say "free returns". We rate it 4.0 out of 5.

How we wrote this review: we used Aiper's own US store pages, its shipping, refund and warranty policies, and the Trustpilot score we could check on 30 September 2026. We have not ordered from Aiper ourselves, so we do not say how well the robots clean. Where a claim comes from Aiper, we say so.

What is Aiper?

Aiper sells robotic cleaners for swimming pools. Most of its range is the Scuba series: cordless robots for in-ground pools. It also sells a solar pool skimmer, a handheld pool vacuum and a smart sprinkler system for gardens.

Aiper says it was founded in 2017 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. It also says most parts are made in Asia. It calls itself the number one smart robotic pool cleaner brand in the world by sales volume, and it cites Euromonitor International (2025 unit sales). That is the brand's own claim, and we cannot check it.

This review covers the US store only. The shop runs on aiper.store/us and prices are in US dollars.

These prices are one-time prices in US dollars from Aiper's product pages, checked on 30 September 2026. Every item shows a list price that is higher than the current price. Aiper's Fall Sale page shows no end date, so treat these prices as able to change at any time.

One conflict: the store home page showed the Scuba S1 and EcoSurfer S2 bundle at $949.99, while its own product page showed $869.00. Check the price in your basket before you pay.

Which Aiper robot for which pool and budget?

Aiper's pages give labels and prices, but we have not used the robots. So this guide is based on price and the tier Aiper gives each model, not on cleaning tests. Read the specs on each product page (pool size, battery time, filter type) before you choose.

  • Lowest budget, $499.99: Scuba S1. This is the entry robot. It also has the most reviews on the Aiper store (a 4.7 average from 134 reviews on the product page). Aiper labels it "Advanced".
  • Around $650: Scuba S3. Aiper labels it "Premium". It has few store reviews so far (4.8 from 4 reviews), so there is less feedback to read.
  • Around $800: Scuba X1 or Scuba V3. The X1 costs $799.99 and is labelled "Essential". The V3 costs $849.99 and is labelled "AI Vision". Aiper's own list price for the X1 is $1,499.99, so the X1 has the biggest markdown of any single robot. The list price is Aiper's own number, so do not read it as proof of value.
  • Top of the range, $1,699.99 to $1,999.99: Scuba X1 Pro Max or Scuba V3 Ultra. These two have a 3-year warranty, one year longer than the other Scuba robots. The V3 Ultra is labelled "AI Vision+" and the X1 Pro Max "Pinnacle".
  • Pool with lots of leaves on top: add the EcoSurfer S2. The skimmer works on the surface. The robots work on the floor. The bundles cost less than buying both parts alone, based on Aiper's prices.

If you are unsure, the cheapest way to compare is to open two or three product pages side by side and check the pool size, battery time and features each one lists.

Warranty and extra protection

Warranty starts on the delivery date and covers the country where you received the item. Aiper's refund and warranty page lists these terms:

  • 3 years: Scuba X1 Pro Max and Scuba V3 Ultra.
  • 2 years: other Scuba robots, EcoSurfer S2 and IrriSense 2.
  • 1 year: PilotFlow X1.
  • 6 months: accessories such as the charging dock.

Aiper Care adds one more year. The plans cost $79 (Essential), $129 (Plus) and $199 (Pro). The higher plans add free damage repairs and a replacement guarantee. Read the plan page for the exact terms.

Aiper also runs a trade-in scheme for an old pool cleaner of any brand. The trade-in page says up to $300 and the product pages say up to $200, so the amount is not clear. Ask before you count on it.

Shipping

  • Shipping is free on orders over $79. Every robot and bundle passes that.
  • The shipping policy gives 3 to 7 business days for US delivery. The home page says "within 3 business days". Aiper's FAQ says in-stock orders ship in 1 to 2 business days.
  • Aiper ships to the continental United States only. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and PO boxes are excluded.
  • Rhode Island is also listed as excluded on the shipping policy page. That is unusual, so if you live there, ask Aiper support before you order.
  • The policy does not state the shipping cost for orders under $79.

Returns and refunds

Aiper offers a 30-day money-back guarantee from delivery. The item must be undamaged, with all accessories and the original packaging.

Here is the conflict. Product pages and the home page say "free returns". The refund policy (last updated 16 April 2026) says that for a change-of-mind return the buyer pays the shipping. Aiper refunds only the price of the product. Plan for the policy version, because it is the written rule.

For a defective item, Aiper provides a return label and a new-unit replacement within 30 days of purchase. We found no restocking fee in the policy pages. The FAQ says refunds for intercepted or refused parcels take 2 to 4 business days once the item reaches the warehouse.

What customers say

When we checked on 30 September 2026, Aiper's claimed Trustpilot profile showed 4.1 out of 5 from 4,516 reviews. Trustpilot blocked our tool that day, so this figure comes from our earlier check the same day and not from a fresh page load. A summary of that page mentioned about 65 percent 5-star reviews and about 19 percent 1-star reviews. We treat those two numbers as approximate.

The Aiper store shows its own star ratings on each product page. They are high (for example 4.7 for the Scuba S1 and 4.8 for the EcoSurfer S2), but they come from the seller's own site, so weigh them less than Trustpilot. We did not find reliable text on common praise or complaints, so we do not list any.

Support is by email, phone and live chat. Phone hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern, even though some store pages say 24/7 support.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Clear range, from $499.99 to $1,999.99.
  • Current prices are well under the list prices Aiper shows.
  • Warranty of 2 to 3 years on the main robots.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee and free shipping on all robots.
  • Payment options include cards, PayPal and Apple Pay, and the checkout settings also list Klarna, Afterpay and PayPal Pay Later.

Cons

  • "Free returns" claims conflict with the policy, which says you pay for change-of-mind returns.
  • Rhode Island, Alaska, Hawaii and PO boxes cannot receive orders.
  • The Fall Sale shows no end date, and list prices are Aiper's own numbers.
  • Trade-in value is unclear ($200 or $300 depending on the page).
  • Trustpilot has a real share of 1-star reviews.

Who should buy Aiper?

A good choice for: owners of in-ground pools in the continental US who want a cordless robot and value a long warranty. Also buyers who want a robot and skimmer bundle from one brand.

Not a good choice for: people in Rhode Island, Alaska or Hawaii, people who may want to return an item for a change of mind and do not want to pay return shipping, and people outside the US, who should use their own country store.

Tips before you order

  • Match the model to your pool. Read the specs on the product page, then compare two or three models.
  • Check the basket price, especially for bundles.
  • Keep all accessories and the box for at least 30 days in case you want to return it.
  • Decide about Aiper Care at checkout, because the warranty is 2 years on most models.
  • Ask support about the trade-in amount and Rhode Island delivery before you order.

Aiper is a solid pick if you live in the continental US and want a cordless pool robot with a clear warranty. Read the return rules first, and pick your model by pool size, not just by price.
